Pengertian Explanation Text Explanation text is a type of text in English that describes a process. Talking about the process, this text is almost the same as procedure text. However, if the procedure text describes how to do something (process), this text describes how a process occurs. That way, we can know that the explanation text serves to provide information to readers about a process. Explanation Text Characteristics There are several characteristics of this text, namely:   Using the Simple Present Tense  => This text uses the Simple Present Tense because it describes facts.  Using Action Verbs Action Verbs  =>are verbs used to describe an ongoing action. This paragraph begins with the causes which are outlined at the beginning of the sentence and is then drawn to a general conclusion which is the result of the described causes. This cause and effect paragraph model is often used in writing essays and text explanations. This is because this model is considered to have a clear and structured flow of ideas, so that readers can easily understand it when reading it.  hi my name is fabiana and i want to tell you about my hopes and plans for 2021.  before that, i want to tell about the previous year which is 2020. actually, 2020 is the worst year of my life. in my 2020 there is sadness, emptiness and so on. My hope that in 2021 is the loss of COVID-19, better than the previous year, to be able to make my parents proud, to be able to achieve the best possible achievement, and to be able to go through 2021 steadfastly and never give up if a problem comes to me. My plan in 2021 is to have more time for myself, be more active in studying, have free time for my friends and family, and be someone who is needed if my friends have problems.  and yeah I think this is just my hopes and plans because actually I don't even know what will happen in the future and I just hope that 2021 is better than the previous year, namely 2020.
